This Seba Skate Carry Hook Medium is perfect for carrying your skates around. It has a soft padding to grab and a big loophole to hang your skates from (as well as any other material).

(If you move your skates 5 meters at home you might wear one skate with the loop on your index finger and the other one on your little finger. But that becomes very uncomfortable if you have to carry them home 1 km from the station... unless maybe you're world champion "little finger lifting" :-) .)
