Breaking in skates

Hi everyone,

My amazing skates have arrived!! The FR SL Speeds in size 34. Koen helped me put them on.

Of course, they have to be uncomfortable at first. Normally, most people go a size smaller, but I'm right on my size and even then they were very uncomfortable. At first, I felt like my feet were going numb.

Then I noticed that my laces were way too tight, as was the strap. I loosened the laces and added a longer strap, which solved the problem.

Koen tells me that it may take a month before they feel like a sock. In the meantime, I've skated for about 40 minutes and developed some nice blisters... It'll be fine if I just keep going a little longer. 😊 An update will follow!
